You can heal your life

I love audio books ! I love reading and turning real pages too but my attention is shorter now than it used to be. And I admit I like taking notes simultaneously.

The best thing about audio books is that it doesn’t weigh a thing when you travel! It simply comes with you in your phone (assuming that every single person has a phone now).

My recent purchase was ‘You can heal your life’, by Louise L. Hay.
I had read her book years ago but decided it was time for me to go back to it.

We never have too much of Louise Hay in our lives! 🙂

The book had actually been offered to me by a very good friend of mine. She knew I needed it then.
And that’s the beauty of books! you have them, you share them and you gift them away…

Back to the book and the reasons for me to share this with you today;

In the last few years, I have been facing personal and professional obstacles and difficulties. As a result, they brought; confusion, sadness, anger and many more negative feelings.

All the negative emotions have been building up for some time and like a volcano, they started boiling up – ready for eruption. I was out of control.

And then Depression started. Probably coming from my need to address the situation but choosing to suppressing it instead and trying to control… for too long …

I then decided to have a break. A REAL BREAK from everything and everyone. (YES, that can seem a bit extreme but I needed it.) And so I came back home… In Belgium… And allowed myself to be taken care of ❤

Thank you family and friends. I am forever grateful.

There, I read/listened to this book. It resonated a lot and I thought you might appreciate it too.

Whatever is happening out there is only a mirror of our own inner thinking...

No matter what the problem is, our experiences are just outer effects of inner thoughts.‘ and ‘Believe it or not, we do create our thoughts.
But ‘THOUGHTS ARE JUST THOUGHTS. & THOUGHTS CAN BE CHANGED.’ ‘Thoughts create feelings. If you don’t have the thought, you won’t have the feeling...
Also, We can’t change the past. The past is over and done. But we can change our attitude towards the past. So, we can change our thoughts about the past.

Resentment, criticism, guilt and fear are our worst enemies. They cause major problems in our bodies and in our lives.
These feelings come from blaming others and not taking responsibility for our own experience
s. If we are all responsible for everything in our lives, then there is no one to blame.’

‘On a physical level;

  • Resentment long held can become the disease we call cancer
  • Criticism can often lead to arthritis
  • Guilt always looks for punishment and punishment creates pain
  • Fear and the tensions it produces can create baldness, ulcers and even sore feet…

When we are in a state of panic, it is very difficult to focus our minds on the healing work. So We have to TAKE TIME OUT to dissolve the fears first.

Forgiving and releasing resentment can resolve even cancer.

To release the past, we must be willing to forgive. We need to choose to release the past and forgive everyone (ourselves included). We may not know how to forgive… but the very fact we are WILLING TO forgive, begins the healing process.

Now, let’s practice! STOP blaming ourselves AND others ! And work on letting go of what doesn’t do us & the world any favour.
